This began my Trip to Honolulu for Fall Break. This is the DC-10 that I flew on from MSP to HNL.

This is the view from my seat. I fortunately had the hole row to myself.

This is the view of the Rocky Mountains... I had neve seen REAL mountains... Now I want too!!!! (Note: photo was enhanced using Picasa)

Another view of Mountains from the plane (Again enhanced)

And here she is... Honolulu herself! I finally made it after a 7.5 hour flight from MSP.

Here is Pearl Harbor on final approach into Honolulu Int'l.

This is the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial. I was at the vistors station when I took this picture.

I thought this was a fitting picture. To the right you see the U.S.S. Arizona, which sank during the attack on Pearl Harbor which began World War II. On the left is the U.S.S. Missouri which had the signing of the peace agreement between the U.S. and Japan ending World War II. So in this one shot I have both the beginning and end of World War II.

A closer view of the U.S.S. Missouri.

This is the U.S.S. Tennessee's mooring platform which was used before World War II (Me being from Tennessee I had to take this picture).

Here is one of the tears from the U.S.S. Arizona. She is still leaking oil after 60 years of sitting on the bottom of the harbor. It was really a moving sight.

Another shot of the U.S.S. Arizona.

Someone let flowers go int he water to honor the fallen sailors during the attack. Some of the washed up onto this part of the Arizona.

This is the U.S.S. Arizona's anchor. As you can see its HUGE. Of course I'm small (only 4'8) but this thing is more than twice my height. The force of the explosion of the Arizona through this anchor several hundred yards away.

And here is the main guns of the U.S.S. Missouri. If you look close, in the background you can see three Los Angeles Class Submarines at dock. This happens to be the last picture from Peal Harbor (not by choice but b/c my old hard drive lossed the rest of them. So I will attempt to tell you what was lost. I took a picture of the place where the war ended on board the U.S.S. Missouri. I also took pictures inside the Missouri and from the Missouri to Pearl Harbor. Oh well, their gone... I guess this means I'll just have to go back and see it again.)

And last but certainly not least. This is inside the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial. This is all the names of people who died on board the Arizona during the attack on Pearl Harbor.
