Well, I figured I would show everyone where I worked since I've been here now for almost 5 months. I think the terminal is a really nice terminal.

This is the Pliska Aeroplane. It is credited as being the first Airplane built and flown in Texas. I believe it flew in 1907 but I'm not sure. This plane hangs over our baggage claim area.

Here is our baggage claim area.

This shot I took during my terminal. The tall "tower" is really the "feature elevator" leading to the Admin Level (notice the bridge) where I work. I did some reading on our terminal and it was built to resemble a hangar. The "stone appointments serve to acknowledge the importance of geological formations created hundreds of millions of years ago and that today produce billions of barrels of oil. Steel tensile ports and polished metal fixtures represent the drilling and producing equipment which dot the area's landscape." (Courtesty of the Midland International Airport Terminal booklet)

This is the concourse level looking toward the security checkpoint. From what I hear the old terminal had low ceilings, but this terminal (as you can see) has a high curved ceiling. Very roomy and open feeling.

This is from Gate 1 and 2 looking toward the security checkpoint. We have a total of 5 gates.

This is the view from the Airport Operations Control Center (AOCC). As you can see we have a good shot of the runway and of aircraft flying around. I fortunately got a good shot of this helocopter taking off from the ramp.

I can across this airplane during my Area Inspection. I had to take some shots of it.

Here it is later in the day taking off.

Here is another view from my "office" as a T-38 taxis by.
