Mac's Random Photos

Thursday, November 09, 2006

I never realized how popular my photoblog has become! I am now asked by everyone, "Mac, when are you going to update your photoblog?!" Well today is your lucky day. I have been exetremely busy and been goofing off with Photoshop (as you will see) and haven't really had much to take pictures of (Well, I always have something to take pictures of, just things that you might not find exciting like a fense, or FOD at an airport...). Anyway, I hope you enjoy these pictures.

First, Midland International Airport (MAF) had a very special guest fly out after speaking at Midland College. If you don't know who this person sitting next to me is, then you must not remember the 80's. Mikhail Gorbachev (the Former leader of the U.S.S.R.) flew out of Midland and came up to the Administration Level before his flight. I was fortunate to have a picture taken with him.

Not nearly as exciting, but unique in its own way, the Met Life Blimp landed at Midland Airpark (MDD) right across the street from my apartment. Since I'm on midnights and it was my night off I decided to go over there at sunrise and get some pictures. Its amazing what a dozen donuts can do.....

It was really awesome because the blimp was lit internally.

Closer to dawn

I like the color of the sky in this picture.

Preparing to leave.

Take off

and departing the area.

As I said I have been goofing off with Adobe Photoshop. While goofing off I discovered a new feature. I can make comic book drawings out of a regular picture. Here are a few examples.

MTSU's Mascot Lightning as a Comic Book.

This was one of the pictures taken during the airsho as a comic.

Another....

F-15 Fly by Comic.

Southwest taking off Comic.

MAF Terminal Comic.

And finally (go ahead and laugh), Me as a Comic Book Character.
