Well, I have been taking a lot of pictures lately. I have been asked to get a good picture of the terminal for the airport volunteers so I have been working on that.

I took this picture one night. As you can see, the outside of the terminal is illuminated nicely, however the lights from the inside are blinding.

I then adjusted the shutter speed to capture the lights from the inside of the terminal but the outside is not observable.

Thanks to my good friend, Aaron, who showed me a program that enabled you to blend the pictures to be able to see both the inside and outside the terminal.

The only problem with that picture was there was a car in front of the terminal. I digitally erased the car to get this picture and added the City of Midland Logo. However, the bright colors just looks overbearing.

So I redid the logo in a silver color. I still don't know what to think. Color or Silver? I could use your input.

I also got some pictures of some locals around here!

One of the police officers called me and asked if I wanted a picture of a rattle snake. It seems everyone knows I love taking pictures. Here the baby rattler is getting off the perimeter road where it was basking itself on the warm asphault.

Once it got into the grass it suddenly "disappeared". I searched for it for about 15 minutes and never saw it. Of course you should know that I remained in my car. That is why it is important to look where you are stepping here in Midland.

The next day I was doing the airfield inspection when I saw this little critter. I found it on TWY 'C', basking on the asphault. I didn't know what type of snake it was, but seeing the Red, Black, and Yellow I tried to remember that rhyme. "Red touches Yellow, your a dead fellow..." or is it Red Touchs black you a dead Jack? I couldn't remember so I didn't touch it. I stayed in my car. But I asked one of the police officers and showed him the pictures and he said it was a Texas Longnose and they are harmless. Next time I might get out and catch one b/c he said they make good pets.

Here it is slithering away from me.
